The Only Sales Objection You Will Ever Need To Overcome
"A great article by Pawel, and great simple pointers. All business owners I work with, know the importance and benefit of marketing, some do better than others. Many, however, do not "sell" themselves well. And I would add, because of the nature of one of the areas I work in, Coaching, the fear begins with the business owner. Feelings aside, if one goes to a meeting with a client, and is afraid (their own stuff) how on earth could that instill confidence in the potential client? Confidence instills confidence, and if we can learn what our customers need, provide the solution with absolute confidence, follow it up (TOP notch customer service as you mention) and get paid, then we are all successful. And we maintain our credibility and good standing :)"Why SEO Is Not Optional – A Back To Basics Guide
"Sarah, I love this article, I have learned a few things that I can do very easily for my own website. A well explained article. The difference reminds me of shops, whether you are on main street with a great window display, or on a side street with no display. Being seen is important, and most importantly non-techie business owners can do a lot for their own website, in small steps as mentioned in your article. "Why Social Media and Sex Don’t Motivate Millennial’s and Baby Boomers
"Warren, John - great post - SEX - in marketing speak, I agree it's the lazy way out. I and am both delighted you used my suggestions for your title, and disappointed you used sex to sell your article ;) I think "Edutainment" has a huge part to play in maintaining interest - I know this from the training environment - learning need to be both educational / informative as well as fun! (and Niall's typo below reflects that). Does sex sell? Yes. Is it going to be part of social marketing? It already is as far as I am concerned."From House Wife to Networking Business Woman Extraordinaire - UmNumNum.ie
"Another wonderfully articulated interview Sian! Margaret is definitely one to "watch" and best of all, if anyone can identify with her story, she is literally a tweet away @umnumnumm and so generous with her time, as any good business person would be. Well done girls!"Build An Old Fashioned Business Community, But Do It Online!
"This is the crucial connection between online and offline connections and relationships, regardless of where they happen first. Great post Niall, and an absolute testament to how you combine and nurture both. You are a supreme example of how it is done so well, and I truly believe the success of TYB and its growing respectful community is primarily down to your approach, attitude and communication style. I have noticed a growth in online communities that are meeting more offline also. I believe this is the acceptance and realisation that one builds on the other, and they are not mutually exclusive, but mutually interdependent. Space needs to be made for both! And I thoroughly enjoy and get great personal and professional benefit from both."5 Ways To Benefit From Customer Video Testimonials
"Video captures sound, picture, the written word and emotion. It appeals to each type - whether people like to read at leisure, watch moving imagery or tap in at an emotional level. The emotion is important, I feel, as it adds an extra dimension to one way communication. With video there is the added benefit of facial expresion, body language and tonality to reach out to your audience, it shows you are human, and can help demonstrate passion for your business/product. Informative that videos can be, they are also a great connector. Of course, not to take away from the power of great words written, or blow your mind imagery. As well, there is a lot of buzz now about the necessity to add video to websites, blogs etc - the last frontier of social networking as we know it. Great post Niall and Sean, I am currently working on adding video to my bag of tricks :)"

4 Effortless Ways To Improve Your Elevator Pitch
"Different pitches are required for different events, meetings and circumstances. And stories are the essence of human interaction. You mention benefits in No 2, I remember going to a sales seminar, and they discussed FAB, features advantages and benefits. Essentially the message was that benefits are what the potential client really wants to hear, and this should spill over into all written and online content and copy (including video). Great post Sean, personally I have actually gone into an elevator and tested for acoustics!! Well, Ok I haven't done - YET, but it should be considered :)"
