Basically, google assigns a page rank that rates the popularity of a web page from 0-10. The higher the score, the more authority is given for the site. Now when the sites rank to each other, they can pass on a little bit of their “rank juice.” So, it’s just like running for prom king. You want the most popular sites to link to you and give you their “vote.”
