After the recent launch of Twitter's new Follow Button, it is Google's turn to upgrade one of its social bookmarking tools. Rolled out in March 2011, the +1 Button only allowed Google users to recommend content to their friends and contacts directly from Google search results and AdWords ads. The functionality has officially been extended to websites since yesterday.
