Social media can be a black box for many marketers. You put in hours of time to manage all of your accounts, but the reward can be unapparent – at least at first.

You might even start to question your efforts. Are you getting quality sales leads? Is anyone reading your posts? Is your SMB getting real value out of the hours spent? What are the magic numbers for target-setting?

There may or may not be correct answers to any of these questions. If nothing else, you are conveying a message that your brand has an online presence – which, today, is expected by consumers.
