A recent Christmas event in a major metropolitan city was full of marketing lessons. Promising a "magical show....and the grand arrival of Santa into the city", the event missed its mark, by a lot. While I suffered through the evening, I couldn’t help but consider the marketing lessons to be learned.

I think the kids actually fared better than the adults - they didn't know just how bad it was. But you're right, it was something straight out of a sitcom. It wouldn't surprise me if Mel Brooks was an inspiration. The big difference is Mel Brooks is funny!
