Hi Duncan, thanks for your comment. Over here in the UK the banks seems to be the worst for this. Promotions like open a new account and get £100 free is a common one - I get nothing because I've been loyal to my bank for over 10 years!

Seems like cable TV are the kings of that around here - that's one reason I don't have cable or satellite (the rate hikes are another). But you're right - it's very annoying wherever you see it happening.
