For some pages, I simply created the "Sign Up" button, to invite fans to subscribe for blog updates.
On some others, I added the "buy" button, pointing to sales page, or affiliate links (to test it out).
I think it's be easier to convert fans into subscribers, than into buyers.
But still, if you have a huge number of fans, and you have a good authority and reputation, I believe it can work well, even the "buy now" call to action.

Have you heard the new concept of “Scommerce”, Martin?
It sounds weird.
But I like the introduction of the “buy” button in the Facebook fan pages.
It means social commerce, and also Twitter began beta-testing with its “Buy” buttons which would allow the users to make a purchase with few clicks and without leaving the network.

I guess I need to read that book.

All this is possible through a series of tools and strategies used during the sales funnel.
Any particular tips you can share, you liked most in the book, Martin?

I haven't read that book yet, but thanks for mentioning.
I just looked at the description in Amazon, and it talks about an important concept:
"the importance of investing in your customers".
I was not aware that it costs roughly five-to-ten times more to acquire a new customer than it does to retain an existing one.
I also believe in the power of word mouth.
