Over the past couple of months, I've been beavering away, writing for clients who simply “can't write” themselves. Now, I think everyone can write. It just comes easier to some folks than others. Just like juggling, cycling, running and singing. Some have a flair for it; others not so much. But everyone can do it.

Hi Denise,

Great tips, I do tend to think of what I'm writing much faster than my fingers are able to type at times, resulting in many errors, I re-read and 'leave to settle' before reading again. I love the tip on foibles, I'll be watching out for that one.

Hi Denise.

I've noticed that many of my mistakes are when I change a sentence around, or move it in a paragraph. I might leave in a (correctly spelled) word or phrase that doesn't fit the new sentence structure - because my mind doesn't pick it up. I see it in blogs once in a while, too.

Hi Denise, this is a great post for me. While my English was pretty good at school, my spelling and grammar used to let me down unfortunately! I think your advice on noticing and then taking note of your foibles is a really good one. That is one tip I will be using. Thanks for sharing.
