I agree with you regarding branding,Last year when I launched my starter-up my logo was not pretty good and I had to hired someone who did a good logo for the site and within 3 months, the site was acquired from me which means branding plays a lot when it comes to online business. I think we should probably all think much more about our branding. And, of course, branding is not limited to only a company's logo. It's about how your customers perceive you, and what could be more important than that.

This is a great post. I've made some of the mistakes that you pointed out in this article. I've recently done a re-branding of my business and created a logo. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted my brand to be but once I did the logo design came along naturally.
