In one way or another, we are all in the customer service business. It takes customers to buy our products, and as with any job, customer support is always necessary. But, customer service is about a whole lot more than just support. Customer service is literally, the most defining aspect of your company.
The modern salesman is friendly, professional, and helpful - but is it enough?
Usually, when we hear customer service, we think of things like friendly and helpful. When we go into a store, we want someone who know what they are talking about and can do it in a professional manner. Sure, this is one thing, but there is a bit more to it. Customer service isn’t only in the one on one interactions – it is in the very fabric of what you do.

I noticed that with phone calls customers glaze over & go blank when the answer they get isn't what they expected. If they ask how much is a burger, and you say we only sell 'dogs - they're dumbstruck. (They're stuck on burgers.)
