19 Entrepreneurs Spill on the Worst Business Advice They\'ve Ever Received
"Left a comment on your blog too -- I've heard many of those over the years. A lot of it is bad, but the first one, "don't work too hard" I kind of agree with. Most entrepreneurs, especially those who started a business to work from home and have freedom don't want to end up being a slave to their business, which is usually what happens. They quit one job and give themselves another with longer hours and more work. I work about 5 hours a day on average (some days more, some days less), and it's not about working hard, or being smart. I know plenty of smart people who are slaves to their business and hate it. It's about being productive in the time that you do work, and the results you get - that requires having systems in place to take away much of that work load. Outsourcing can help too. I outsource anything I don't like or I'm no good at. In the beginning you kinda have to do whatever you have to do in order to get things moving, but if the more successful you get, the busier you get, something's definitely wrong, and there needs to be a change."
