Why Updating Your Older Blog Posts is Important
"I just add the updated information. I ran an experiment with 2 posts. I update each one about two days apart. Each post moved up one page on Google. One post was on page 4 and moved to page 3. The other post was on page 2 and moved to page 1. All I did was add relevant content and republished, leaving the original date."Ten Things You Are Doing Wrong on Your Blog
"Hey Martin You always have the best questions!!!! Internal links are good for two reasons SEO benefit - It makes it easier for Google to find and index your new page. Update an older web page with a link to a new blog post. Since Google has already indexed the older page, it will be easier for Google to find the link and index this new page (or any other page). Non-SEO benefit - It helps to reduce your bounce rate. If your reader finds you from a search, having a relevant link to another page of interest will help to keep them on your site longer.
