It is my intent in this article to address one issue related to active shooter incidents so you as a business owner can think further about this important topic. The issue I want to address with the remainder of this article is allowing employees and customers to carry concealed weapons at your place of business. While there are a number of states that allow citizens to carry concealed weapons, I also see many businesses that put up signs prohibiting the carrying of concealed weapons at their place of business. I would challenge business owners to rethink this policy for the sake of their business and those that visit their place of business.
