To fill the bubble tea void in Issaquah, Chinh Vo created a unique family-friendly Bubble Shack in 2006. But like many others, the shop has been challenged by the downturn.
Its solution is a story of tapioca pearls meets pearl necklaces: A struggling bubble tea shop diversifies its clientele by adding affordable fashion accessories and recycled vintage jewelry from SOUL OH SO CHIQUE BOUTIQUE to its sale floor. The unlikely pairing reflects today’s recessionary credo: Small businesses must think creatively and synergistically to attract customers, or else.
