Google has started rolling out new series of Penguin update to nail spammers. Last year, Google rolled out Panda updates which killed many spammers, later earlier this year they deindexed major private networks.

Well written article. Google says that only 3% of sites are affected by penguin. I think that much more than 3% is affected by this new google algorithm. So I agree with the article written on best-inexpensive-web-hosting.com/penguin-algorithm-update-bad-search-results-in-google

Thanks for the post and the explanation. I am pleased that Google is trying to get rid of content getting good ranking just because is SEO optimised. If the focus was on good content then all would be better. However, it seems that is alone is never enough as the SEO techniques do play a role. Please keep the tips coming. I am trying to focus on content but know we all need to understand how to post in ways that will help ensure people see the content too!
