Think about how much time you invest in creating relationships. How many hours do you spend on the phone, in-person, answering emails and text messages and so forth—whether they are personal or business relationships, connecting with people takes time and effort. Creating social media relationships is no less time consuming. Although you may never meet many (if any) of your social connections in person, you could easily spend just as much time having conversations online via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and so forth. If you’re a website owner or marketing manager for a small to medium-sized business, chances are you already don’t have enough hours in the day to manage all the to-dos that are already on your plate, let along adding social media marketing management tasks to the mix.
