Google+ is NOT walking dead

Almost two years ago, I wrote a post hoping that I could change some of the popular mindset about Google+.

I was obviously naive. Google+ may have gained many new users since then, but the bashing has never stopped.

Cendrine: I know that, e.g., Guy Kawasaki. But I think that Google+'s figures are inflated due to the link to Gmail account. I like Google+, but it is not my favorite tool...yet. ;) I tested out Google's Buzz at the start (that is now included in Google+). Google+ has many + services, for example Hangout chat, +1 bookmark feature, a neat profile page, etc.

As far as I know, we have no way to know if all the social networks don't publish inflated numbers. It's kind of annoying to always talk about Google as a liar, while conveniently leaving out a company like Facebook.

Let the market decide if Google+ is still alive and kicking. The challenge for Google+ is to become a daily routine for social media users. I understand the grand master plan made by Google...

Hi Cendrine,

It's hard to take an argument about the demise of Google Plus seriously, given the announcement of +Post ads recently and the ongoing popularity of Google Pus in certain (pardon the pun) circles. To this day, I see a greater degree of engagement on my Google Plus account than I ever see on Facebook. Others must see similar results.
