Earlier book reading was simpler. You bought a book (paperback/hardcover) and you had it stored on a bookshelf or other physical location.
Nowadays, physical books are not the only types of books; we have also e-books (PDF), Amazon Kindle e-books, books on iPad. I even have some of my PDFs printed out to paper.
So, how are you supposed to keep track of your books the organized way?
