I always say I'm "multi-tasking", but in reality I have several things going on at one time. I think that is what we are calling "multi-tasking" these days, especially if you are a mom. As a mom and a business women I always have several thing going on at once.

Guys, women have been multi tasking out of necessity for years and usually quite successful. May be because of the study we can now stop.

I've never been a multi-tasker and never will be. I find it impossible to concentrate thoroughly on more than one thing at a time. It takes a certain mindset, one which my brain will never allow me to possess. I have to do one thing, see it through, then move on to another...

I loved it! Multi-Tasking always was BS for reasons given in great detail in the article. The one point I'd add (or argue) is that multi-tasking predates electricity by several millennia. It's in no way related to recent technology. Example: Look at the old-fashioned "One Man Band" - it was a fascinating spectacle to Watch, but no one was going to listen to a recording of it.

p.s. When "Multi-Tasking", there is no FOCUS. Without focus we get diminished results.
