Tim Ferris explains how to get people to talk about you

Tim Ferris doesn't like the word marketing. Instead he explains to an audience at a seminar how he got his book on the bestsellers list just by persuading people to talk about him (which one could argue is marketing no matter what Tim decides to call it.) Watch this video for some of Tim's techniques on selling yourself and by extension your product but be aware these techniques are not for the faint of heart.

Yes, ReMarkAble... :) Yes, I think Tim Ferriss knows what he is talking about. He created a huge viral marketing buzz around his 4 hour work week.

It is, of course, however, in the beginning of the video, Tim says when he heard the topic for the discussion in which he was scheduled to participate, he didn't know what it meant. A little further along, however, Tim talks about being "remarkable", a Seth Godin catch phrase that makes you think Tim knows much more about this subject than he lets on. So playing along with Tim's (probably) feigned ignorance on the subject, he's just talking about how to make people talk about you.
