Are your online marketing campaigns like pages of a colouring book?
There is not colouring in department 3 reasons why marketing is a revenue centre
Marketing departments are sometimes seen as merely “colouring in” creative brand development and outreach campaigns to mindlessly blast to audiences. The problem with this outmoded model is that its effort – “filling out the colouring book” with each campaign – is not aligned with the ultimate goal: revenue generation.
Your marketing department may not be “marketing” at all. It’s a creative cost centre; a (digital) printing press with a coin flip’s chance of paying for itself. It doesn’t have to be that way though: inbound marketing can be a revenue generator. It no longer involves colouring in books, but mapping ways to connect leads to sales.
