This is a topic I broach a lot on this blog. I also discuss it almost daily with the independent artists who have done their due diligence and paid their dues.

I agree that letter is very well written in every way as you have mentioned. It would be a pleasure to receive a letter like that.
I think in some ways professionalism and knowledgeable writing is going out of the window due to the shortness of some social media channels - it's difficult in 140 characters.
Hopefully with people like yourself discussing this we can keep the effort going for politeness and professionalism.
