Adam: I have used "unfollow" app now and then. It is a bit cumbersome. I don't get why Twitter has enforced this follow limit.

The Twitter chat is 2 AM Thursday my time. I will be there! ;)

Adam, I want to follow new users in relation to new opportunities, e.g., at a Twitter chat, it is great to connect with new tweeps. It is a Twitter chat on Wednesday at 8 PM ET regarding the upcoming holiday season with business, e/commerce, transport, packaging, etc.

Yep, the limit will make that difficult. The alternative would be to unfollow inactive users but you have to be careful of churning followers.

Thanks for the heads up, it's 5am my time so it's a no go unfortunately.

Adam: I need new followers due to the fact that I have struggling with Twitter's follow limit rule (after 2000 followers). I am following 4694 tweeps at the moment and I have 4269 followers.

Sounds like focusing on the tips that don't involve following too many new users will work.
