If you had an idea or a problem, the guy I reported to, an experienced Marketing Manager instead of solving your problem or telling you yes or no to an idea he would spend time dicussing it or asking questions and involved you so that you would eventually come up with the answer. You would walk out of his office feeling empowered. He could have provided solutions in 5 seconds instead he spent 20 or 30 minutes and I still remember his method today.
