How to choose the face of your business is one of the trickiest questions in advertising because the answer depends a lot on gut feel and history of the business. Essentially, there are two kinds of “Face of the Business”. The more traditional is one is by getting a “talent” or model. You come out with several advertising material and sign her or him up for several years. The advantage is that you allow the image of the celebrity to rub off on your business.

Even when the likes of Miley Cyrus and others like her were still minors, they were only endorsers, not the "Steve Jobs" of a brand.

The 1st "brand owner" I saw on a TV commercial was the man who bought the electric razor company in the late '60's/early '70's. The 1st 2-3 times he chuckled when he said he liked the razor so much he "bought the company" it seemed real, and he was mildly amusing. After the 323rd time, his chuckle was so artificial it was annoying. I don't remember anything about him or his product except his phony chuckle. But don't go by me - I'm very hard to please this way.
