"I've already added that "call to action" buttons on the Facebook fan pages of my websites. For some pages, I simply created the "Sign Up" button, to invite fans to subscribe for blog updates. On some others, I added the "buy" button, pointing to sales page, or affiliate links (to test it out). I think it's be easier to convert fans into subscribers, than into buyers. But still, if you have a huge number of fans, and you have a good authority and reputation, I believe it can work well, even the "buy now" call to action.
