"Heather, Yes, the important part is - as you rightly said - progress! I'd throw out 2 thoughts about ensuring that you're heading forward: 1. Have key indicators to track how today compares to 2/4/6/12 months ago. If you don't have good indicators to track progress, you never really know the rate or reality of change. 2. Get lots of feedback. Whether from team members, customers, family, friends - whoever is best placed to comment should be constantly approached for specific and direct feedback.
