So much of life is about managing expectations.
If I showed up at your doorstep and said that I'd be taking you to the best restaurant in town, you'd be pretty disappointed if we ended up at McDonald's.
If I showed up at your doorstep and said that I'd be taking you to the most disgusting eatery in the country, you'd be pretty OK if we ended up underneath the golden arches.

Maybe to exaggeration can lead to mistrust and among your employers, you don't want mistrust to linger because it can affect in there work.
This can lead to the fall down or your beloved company.
