Hi, thanks for commenting. There are many companies who have embraced the use of technology. A few of the big named companies are Target, Kmart and Forever 21 etc. These are only a few of the clothing stores that have had an App developed for their store. This is beneficial to them as any of their customers can shop from anywhere and at any time.

Social media marketing is used by a lot of companies, but you find that mostly small businesses that take advantage of this efficient marketing tool; generally because it is a lot cheaper. Gold line fashion is an example of a UK store that created a Facebook page to reach out to further customers. I know that there are quite a few restaurants, bars and clubs that use Facebook to advertise new parties, events, and post photos which in turn entice further customers. Down Under Bar, a bar in Brisbane City, is one example that really takes advantage of Facebook. They are constantly posting pictures, advertising events and putting up coupon offers for their members on Facebook. Really involving people.

But these are only few examples of uses and companies who took advantage of technology. You can find out further businesses who did so by asking local companies and businesses. Hi lyceum, I commented on this a couple hours after you did. But I noticed it hadn't been posted.

The biggest example of technology implementation is retail stores. A lot of small clothing stores and brands have begun to use Face Book as a platform of communication. They have had apps developed for an easy use, buy anywhere any time service. Stores who haven't already done so are creating websites as well. One big named brand is Forever 21 who came out with an app, you can easily buy their clothes through the app. One of the local boutiques in my home town is constantly updating the Face Book page with coupons and deals.

Another example is restaurants and bars, a few in my hometown have started to use Face Book as a communication tool with their customers. Down Under Bar specifically posts photos each night, this brings customers to the page as they want to see the photos they are in. It also entices people to attend the bar because they are intrigued by the photos.
