The proliferation of cloud computing has changed the way many business owners and employees work. No longer are they tethered to their computers and designated workspaces. Business can be conducted anywhere with internet access, be it your home, an airport, a café or (if you are lucky) on the beach.

There are an abundance of tools out there that allow small business owners to connect with their computers and data. Three of these are discussed here:

Interesting stuff, Ronika!

I'm also one who HATES computers!!!

I just made the HUGE mistake of loading IE9 (was using 7), and I HATE IT!!!!

Now I have to re-learn everything. The magnification adjustment is more troublesome, and I need to adjust it constantly to read articles here between 100, 150, and 200%. I'll never download another "improvement" as long as I live (though it does seem faster).

Thank you, Duncan!

I've never understood why new version of certain programs transform completely. Excel and Word 2007 did something similar and I am still learning how to use it properly.

I hate computers so much that I am going to log off for the night and turn on our fourteen year old tv (I wouldn't trade it for a new one if it was offered for free).

Hmmm. Internet vs a great movie on cable in 10 minutes....FLASH...Ahhhhhhh!

It's a major milestone in the tech leap forward, but I still have a lot of concern with security aspects.

Security is definitely an issue, and should be considered carefully when using any of these tools.

Yaaaayyyy Ronika!

Great tools. For my business, cloud computing is a necessity. Thanks for the advice. For Yoni, for better or for worse, a computer is becoming like a cold, he justs want it to go away. 16th Century Renaissance Man tries to survive in 21st century business world :)

Looking forward to more of your wisdom and insight!

Given the number of devices and the increased flexibility in how we work, I agree that cloud computing is a necessity.

I can completely understand why Yoni wants his computer to go away :)

Thank you, Rivkah!

Ronika,

Awesome article! Bad timing :(

Infortunately this comes at a time when I want to spend as little time around my computer as possible. I'm computered out!!! I'm blogged-out!!! ...at least as far as my blog goes...I'm looking forward to never blogging again! I will not be cloud computing but I will be outside with my dogs every afternoon looking for pictures in the clouds. Elephants. Zebras. Monsters...

As far as logging in, you are one of a very select few for whom do it. Your blog is awesome and I will be looking for it regularly, both on your site and at BizSugar!!!!

There are days, especially at this time of year, when I feel exactly the same way.

Thank you so much, Yoni! Really appreciate your support and feedback.
