We owe a great debt to all our veterans - maybe a little bit more-so to the Vietnam vets who not only had no celebration on their return, but were often actually criticized & reviled (the state of politics at the time - it was fine to be anti-war, but unfortunate that some of that rubbed-off onto those who served).

I think the important thing to remember is that the troops are our boys and girls, sons and daughter, mothers and fathers. They are not policy-makers. They don't declare war, they simply carry out orders and risk their lives while doing so.
On their return, whether we agree or disagree with a war, they deserve unconditional respect and gratitude...and any and all help available to transition back to life, family and employment.
