Ivan: Thanks for the clarification and your input! I have to learn this, the hard way! ;) I haven't really positioned my blogs as stand-alone business. It is more of a communication tool for getting known, liked and trusted by fellow bloggers, readers and potential clients in the future.

By "monetize", I mean that blogs should give a 'signal' that they are exist as businesses.

It's not about how often, but when you will actually get your first income.

For example, I have to wait for my Noobpreneur.com for a year before it starts generating profits. I have positioned it as a business since day one. So...
