I recently ran across a research proposal I wrote over four years ago. Looking back, the most useful parts of the proposal had to do with reviewing work that I'd already done, not planning work for the future. The same may be true when thinking about your business, where a review of your recent work may be more useful for plotting a course than a forward-looking business plan.
Stop writing business plans, and start writing business reviews
