“I'm starting an online business — where do I start?”. It's broad question, but is one that comes up repeatedly on small business forums and discussion boards.

Of course, an online business is merely a vehicle for the product or service you are selling. So starting a Web-based business — and making it a success — will take more than just “getting online”.

There are two fundamental steps you will need to take. The first is to treat your online business like any other business venture and pay attention to business start-up processes; second, you'll need to generate traffic to your site.

Iâ€™ve read a blog which was forwarded to me from my friend Linda which pretty much share the same idea with the main article (two thumbs up for it!). She said she earned commission (though it's not that big since she's been registered since last month only) by registering as an affiliate to a live chat software company that offers customer support through live chat service.

By the way, she earned $48 last month!

You might be thinking, â€œWhatâ€™s the point of your sharing your friendâ€™s story with us?â€ Well, I need your opinion on this. Iâ€™m still a newbie when it comes to this new kind of business and I wanna know how this business work. Iâ€™ve asked Linda about this and she explained to me just a little bit of it. I want to gather as much info as I can prior to joining as an affiliate.
