Hi Warren,

Fantastic points made here - it seems we have done full circle from the barefoot long hair days of Steve Jobs early workplace, to hierarchical methods and back to the "family" style organisation.

It strikes me that "social" was always on the agenda for employee satisfaction and motivation, but somehow fell down the numbered list. Thankfully it has popped up again as being imperative, as companies have more space and time for their people rather than chasing the "next big thing" that booms seem to illicit.

Having social in every aspect of our lives now, is it not logical that it should dominate in the workplace too? Like, let's all respect eachother, motivate eachother and get on with the job in hand.

Or, as a race, will we always have politics and deals and backstabbing?

Great thought provoker post Warren, thanks!
