If it make you feel any better, Saul wasn't the first one in this territory either. Guy Kawasaki talks about jumping the curves of innovation and this is exactly what his previous employer Apple did, replacing the Apple II with the Mac and then creating iTunes, the iPhone, and the iPad with each step essentially disrupting its own previous product lines. Maybe you can still write that book after all!
