This may the best, if somewhat controversial, list for people thinking about, or people making excuses to avoid, starting a business. Dane Carlson looks at what you REALLY need to start a small business by looking at what you don't. And what you don't need includes a long and, to some, alarming list including incorporation, an accountant, an attorney, a bank account and a business license. Agree with Dane or not, his list is bound to get you thinking. I'd welcome comments on the list here too and am hoping we can get a good dialog going to help people thinking about starting a business to work through their priorities and decide what's most important for making their dreams a reality.
