When we first get started with a link building campaign for a client, one of the top priorities is to check to see if the client has a Google Places for Business listing that is up to date and accurate. It’s amazing to see the number of business/website owners that haven’t taken advantage of this easy to obtain and free business listing. Most new clients have incomplete listings and some are even wrong- including things like an incorrect phone number or a category that doesn’t accurately reflect what the business offers.
