You know, Nicole, the interesting thing about this is that, a few years ago many people insisted business owners should create their own content. They weren't suppose to hire outside writers. Their own passion was supposed to be enough, especially on the company blog. Now we talk about talent and how there's not enough to go around. Times have changed. There are probably many things that go into great online content. Passion, knowledge of the subject, talent: I think the most important thing is to engage readers. If you can manage that, the rest is easy.

Great post! I also don't like writers which create EXTRA INTERESTING post titles but their content don't have any single similarity with their titles.
