Ryan, I agree 100%! As a professional writer first and a biz-blogger second, I find your points very sound. It's one of the reasons that I advise all writers and bloggers to wait, if necessary, until they have something of substance, interesting and/or educational to post. If the time is not right, it is better to wait. Readers can tell when a blogger is just posting something for the sake of posting; it is apparent in the errors and in the felling that the blogger did not put his/her heart into the posting. Many feel that a blog post must be written every day...this is often a recipe for disaster in that it forces the writer to post for the sake of posting.
