Fantastic post, Sonia. Very firm and solid. I personally use both in my marketing plan. I use social media to drive traffic to my blog. I've made sure to optimize my blog to capture as many emails a possible so I can build my subscriber list and build relationships and market to them through email.

However, if I had to pick just one, I'd choose to do email marketing. Having your own list of email subscribers is like having your own personal social network and having traffic and revenue on tap.
