The simple answer is no. While the size of your site may limit how many entry pages you can create in the SERPs (although blog posts are basically limitless landing pages for any website), the size of your site should have no real impact on the size of your link building profile or link strategy. Links are still very much the bread and butter of SEO, and while the Google Penguin updates have made it very clear that quality is far more important than quantity when it comes to your link profile, even a small site can earn thousands of links and reap the SEO benefits.
