Hmmm... attention grabbing invoices? This is something that I've not given a whole lot of thought too. Thanks for sharing this.

Time management has been my biggest battle since forever. I've tried countless tactics to manage my time, or rather, manage myself within time better, and I've failed many times.

I freaked out a bit when I saw the Google calendar image of blocked time coloring. I would stress out looking at that colored schedule. I am using a blank slate, i.e., a physical calendar and write down meetings, events, etc. and to-do notes linked to these activities. I do have a action list similar to Ti that I am checking through the day and week.

I am developing my own personalized kanban process based on low tech (bulletin / white boards) and IT (WorkFlowy) and a combo Evernote smart Moleskine notebook and Eisenhower.me matrix (do first, schedule, delegate, don't do) on paper and as an app.

Terrific post, Dawna.

Time management has been my biggest battle since forever. I've tried countless tactics to manage my time, or rather, manage myself within time better, and I've failed many times.

However, I've recently come up with a system that allows me to get A LOT more done in my day. I guess it's pretty similar to your block scheduling.

I have a full plate. I work part-time, go to school full-time and I run my blog business full-time, so I don't really have any free time in my day and it's necessary that I use every minute wisely.

So I decided to break down my time into 4 hour blocks. The part-time job I work is from home and feeds into my natural blog activities so recently I decided to mesh my job and my blog activities together so that I can save on time.

When I'm doing school work, I'll work in four hour blocks. So for four hours straight I'll only do school work and I won't deviate from it even if I've finished my course work for the current week (I take classes online). This actually works out extremely well for me because I get ahead on most of my school work.

For my job and blog I've created what I like to call "action lists" (my new word for checklists). At the beginning of each weak I make an action list for each day of the week, specifying the specific tasks I need to take action on and complete daily.

I couldn't do without my action lists because it gives me an unbelievable since of productivity and I know that I'm taking the right actions to propel me towards my goals. I try to make sure that I don't go to sleep without completing every action on my list and so far I've been successful at that.

This is my first time visiting your blog, Dawna and I'm loving what I've read and seen so far. I'll be sure to share this post with my social circle.

Keep the great content coming and I look forward to connecting more with you soon.

Ti
