Jason,

I agree that stating your opinion in a blog is a good thing...but...only when it is a mundane topic. Being opinionated when it comes to potentially devisive issues can be dangerous. Whether politics, religion or what have you, becoming a polarizing figure can mean that we alienate ourselves from a substantial portion of readers all of whom are prospective customers.
