Blogging is almost dead without comments because this goes against the purpose that blogs are made for which is conversation and discussion...Hence, getting more comments should always be our priority...

A lot of blogs don't have comments but have high traffic. I rather have 100 views and 10 comments than have 1000 views and no comments. Build a community on your blog, however small. What do you say ?

I agree with you 100%. If you have a lot of traffic but no comments, you are missing the real pleasure of blogging.

I don't know about other bloggers but as for me I don't believe in comments because once you are sharing a quality content with good traffic coming from search engine.

I launched a site last year Dec 23rd with no traffic but after sharing useful content and promoting it here using Bizsugar, I have made $1250 already from the blog with few comments on it. so what am trying to say is this, publish what people are looking for and not just repeating what others said in order to gain more comments.
