When I see these 6 mistakes people make on their LinkedIn profiles, it really turns me off and makes me wonder why they bother connecting with me at all.

Thank You! LinkedIn is a great place to make business connects, but I HATE when people try and connect and they have little to nothing to determine if this connection is worth it. I have over 400 connections and most of them are there because we've engaged, they are clients of mine or they engaged in content I've created and decided to connect. It makes no sense to endorse someone and you don't even know about their skills. What's the point?

LinkedIn is one site I am very uncomfortable using. I have a profile there, but I always feel it could be better. Fortunately, I don't believe I have committed any of the mistakes you mentioned other than maybe not having enough contacts. Thanks for the information.

It's actually quite easy to complete your LinkedIn profile and it makes a lot of difference. Completed profiles are 40 times more successful in attracting attention than incomplete ones.

Great post. I cant stand when I get connection requests on Linkedin from people I don't even know and who distastefully introduce themselves, just wanting endorsements from me.
