I subscribe to a lot of blogs that I love to read on a regular basis. They range in topic from online marketing and web strategy to dog rescue and advocacy. But there is one thing they all have in common – sticky content.

Of all the points you mentioned, I think building relationships is the best. No matter how good you are at writing, if you don't enjoy a cordial relationship with people, nobody would want to share your posts.

Keep it simple: Yes, don't try to tell your audience how much you've got in your vocabulary. What sense would it make if you use excessive grammar for an audience that is barely educated? Sometimes, trying to impress with grammar leads to errors and ambiguity.

Passion: I would always see this as a great point to remember. Blogging in an area where you don't have passion is total waste of time, energy and resources. Passion is the only thing that would keep you going when you pass through blogging tribulations.
