I checked out the "Principles" site. It's a good one! Unfortunately in America, certain things have gotten lost. Patriotism is now offensive. The flag has become a symbol of deviciveness. Criminals have more rights than victims...and the list goes on! Insanity!

Excellent post. The story of Van T. Barfoot ("A One Man Army") is a compelling one (his heroism) and a ridiculous one (the homeowners' association and the flagpole controversy). It seem that in certain circles in America (I am an avid foller of FOXNews) patriotism, heroism, gallantry and the flag are no longer things to be proud of. It's puzzling. America is the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave" and a place where political correctness has gone to crazy proportions.
