When I went off to college, my parents agreed to cover my tuition. But if I wanted to live out on my own, I had to cover my rent, food, books, and bills. My parents, of course, gave me the option to live at home rent-free, but what college student wants to live at home when they can be out of their own?!

Needless to say, working was not an option for me. Even if I had decided to stay-at-home with my parents, I was still responsible for gas, car insurance, and college text books – which are expensive!

That’s cool…especially since commuting is not everyone’s proverbial ‘cup of tea’. Students with part-time jobs who often have to commute to the workplace for being able to earn their livelihood have to deal with not having enough time for their studies and other activities. Other problems include getting to the class on time. Students sometimes must complete their assignments before the given deadline, something that can clash with the work timings. Side duty is a blessing for students who wish to earn enough to be independent, and still get the time to work on getting to their goals in life.
