3 Reasons why I am using less Facebook for my Business
"Hey Sam, I totally agree with you on this! Like, you, I've never intensively used Facebook in the past but it continues to be one of the top referrals of my blog traffic - so I kinda stick to it. But to be honest I've never built any genuine relationship off Facebook! Its too much ads (really too much recently) and annoying notifications. They have this opt out model for everything and you always have to "turn off" something that you didn't "turned on" - Facebook turns on everything annoying for you and that's pathetic. And not to mention I get a lot of affected updates (porn, virus, etc) from even genuine profiles on my wall - and again I have to tell Facebook "I don't want to see this"!"Blog Efficiently: How to Blog More In Less Time
"Blogging is a multi-faceted "thing" to do. Most people think blogging is just writing and publishing blog posts. But it is not just that. In fact writing and publishing blog posts only take about 20% of this whole blogging thing. We gotta get ideas for blog posts, capture them, do keyword research, SEO our posts - before publishing. And after we publish we should do most of the promotion coz simply writing and promoting blog content will do nothing until you let people know about it. For this you gotta connect with like-minded fellas, build a network and an authority! All these tasks take pretty amount of time and we just don't need time, but we should also be organized. Tools like these come in handy. I'm a fan and a regular user of Evernote, Producteev and so on - can't do without all these tools I'm using. I'm off to check out Book-in-a-week and Inkybee - sounds interesting to me!"9 Email Marketing Best Practices For Newbie Bloggers
"Great points Eddie! People are allergic to spam and they simply HATE it. Purchasing email lists or sending emails to people out of the blue have never worked even at earlier times; and people are smarter these days, they can smell spam right away and one simple click marking an email as spam will get the job done! This is why a double optin is pretty safe! Personalization works great for me. When I receive emails in my inbox, when I see my name in the subject line I immediately feel a connection. So I don't hesitate to provide the same feeling to my subscribers as well :)"Subscribe

Working From Home: Five Important Things I’ve Learned The Hard Way
"It is indeed impossible to please everyone. Striking the right balance between good to work and good to family is the key – and it is one of the most challenging things for women working from home. I used to feel guilty all the time; and I used to have people comment at me that I am at home and still do “less” house related work and spend most of the time sitting on my chair. Well, I slowly taught them that I am STILL at work and that I bring home income – so the fact that I am AT home doesn’t mean I am always free and available. At the same time it is a real blessing to be able to attend to kids, do the household work at our flexible timing etc. – like be there for the family while at work! So, ya, finding the balance is the key – it takes quite a while to figure out the right balance and its perfectly OK."
